The Havana Print Maxi Dress

The Great are a California line specializing in vintage-inspired designs ranging from frilly dresses to duck boots and beyond. Their dresses are a special favorite of mine, uniquely capable of almost always looking good on my 5'2 curvy frame. And when their designs include smocking, they're as effortless as it comes. This dress is a perfect example of that, with smocking across the front and back of the upper torso with a zipper and hook/eye closure for a secure fit (but the smocking makes it easy to just pull on and off without any effort whatsoever). Flutter details at the sleeve and neckline and a gorgeous floral print that recalls pom pom mums offer timeless feminine charm. The organic cotton has an almost plisse texture, but is as light as cotton gauze so you can wear it even on the warmest day; the cut and construction is so comfortable, you can spend upwards of 15+ hours in the dress (I have) without care. On me, this is definitely more of a maxi dress, but it's a midi for most wearers. The neutral black, white and tan color scheme and relaxed style offer a world of styling possibilities (although I tend to wear it with black fisherman sandals or Birkenstocks and simple jewelry).
