Nilla Sandal

These sandals filled a need in my closet because while they’re flat, they’re also elegant, and the saddle color is perfect. I wore them last night and they are truly uncomfortable, so if I had to do it over again I would’ve held out and tried to find a similar design that didn’t feel like a torture device. These are the kind of shoes that I don’t think would be comfortable on anyone. My foot is not wide, but where the straps go through the loops on the sides for some reason is where these shoes rub. The reason I gave them three stars because I figured the five-star looks with the one-star level of comfort basically averaged out to 3 stars. I think it’s too generous, though.

If you have flat feet, these might work for you. I have wide flat feet with bunions and most sandals are too loose in the mid-foot/arch area. These are tighter vertically and actually a better fit for my foot, I even took a 1/2 size down to get a snugger fit (bought size 8, normally an 8.5). If you’re someone who also has little to no arches these are worth checking out. The straps need breaking in, I wore them with socks the first few times and can now wear them on their own. Overall very happy with them!
