Close but no banana
The fabric is a mid weight poplin, which with short midwestern springs, told me I wouldn't be able to wear it very often. I sized down one size, which made the fit doable for me, given the ability to adjust the waist measurement afforded by the tie belt. BUT the pictures don't show that the shoulders bear, to my mind, ugly epaulet looking straps each holding two large snaps. They're there to attach to internal sleeve straps (also supporting snap fasteners) for adjusting the sleeve length. I couldn't figure out the mechanism, and, since my preference was to wear long sleeves, knew that that internal addition to the sleeve would bother me while wearing the dress. In short, this dress is over designed. Too bad because the print is a lot of fun.
