Aziel Sneaker

I was disappointed with my purchase. One of the shoes arrived without its shoelace. I picked them up in-store, and I didn't think to inspect them before leaving, but I expected the item to be complete and checked before being handed to customers. Unfortunately, I only noticed the missing shoelace once I got home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a casual shoe that was fashionable and functional. I have worn these often and get many compliments. My feet don’t usually feel immediately great in shoes and these shoes felt great right away for me. I tend to have a wider than average foot but these worked very well on my feet.

I initially ordered these sneakers in my usual size 10, but I couldn’t get my foot into them—they ran much too small. I ended up exchanging them for a size 11, which fit much better. That said, the heel sits a bit low in the back, which I had also seen mentioned in other reviews. One point of frustration was the laces. I had seen images online showing the sneakers styled with simple black-and-white laces, so I assumed a similar option would be included or that the provided laces would be long enough to lace the shoes that way. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The included bicolored laces felt too busy for my taste, and I had to spend quite a bit of time searching for a cleaner black-and-white pair that worked. I did finally find a pair that worked. Lastly, the finishing inside the shoe—particularly around the top eyelet area where the laces tie—could be improved. There are some areas that feel less refined than expected. Overall, once sized correctly, the shoes are wearable, but a few design and finishing details could be improved.
