Perfect loafer

I have been looking for a solid black non-penny loafer for months (maybe years?) and have tried on and returned many pairs. This pair is SO perfect. Classy and classic, perfect heel, supportive footbed, not too stiff, and waterproof (!!) for those rainy days. Amazing. So happy to have found them and even better during the Anniversary Sale. Big keeper.

Looked better online

First, I ordered a 7 (up from my usual 6.5) because I wanted to wear these with socks; however, they were big overall and especially in the heel so I would probably need to get the 6.5. However, this shoe looked a lot better online than it did when I received it. The top part of shoe is quite long and "chunky" looking---it just simply did not appeal to me and did not look good on my foot. I like the Sofft brand so I may try one of their other loafers---just not this one.

Beautiful style but didn't like the material

Those loafers look really stylish, they are comfortable and true to size. However, what was hard to judge from the photos - the leather (in Almond color) is shiny and wrinkly, which I didn't like at all. Sadly had to return.

Classic

Black loafers are classic looking but not astonishing. Real value is in the cushiony footbed and the water resistance. Need a tiny bit of breaking in, but comfy.

Would not size down

I’m a 8.5 in regular shoes and a 9 in boots. Based on other reviews, I went ahead with an 8.5 but they fit too snugly so I should have went with my gut and chose my usual “boot size” of 9 instead. But alas they are sold out. Very comfy and cushioned. Would grab the 9 if it comes back and on sale still.

Beautiful shoe, well made, too tight everywhere. I need the shoe a little wider in the toe bed. I bought my usual size 7 I know a 7 1/2 would be too long. Disappointed they won’t work for me.
