Slade Plaid Blazer

I like the color and love the style, but I own several Slade blazers and the quality of this one isn’t on par with the rest. It doesn’t look as nice once I put it on and I think it’s because the fabric is thinner, making it look rather cheap. All the other Slade blazers I own are either size 2 or 4. I have another Slade in knit fabric in size 4 and it looks amazing so I chose size 4 on this one thinking the fabric would be the same, but this blazer doesn’t even compare. It really looks sloppy. If you want this blazer, I suggest you get a size that will be a tighter fit in order to make it look nice. Any room in this blazer and you will look sloppy, trust me. I considered exchanging for a size 2, but the fabric isn’t worth the exchange so I’m returning it.

The style is classic, so chic!

I understand why this blazer sold out in my size so quickly. The fabric colors are extremely versatile and the blazer itself is comfortable and flattering. I am curvy and I did go with my usual size in R&B blazers (which is a size up from my normal size).

I’ve wanted a Slade blazer forever and when I saw these colors I finally pulled the trigger. I’ve received a compliment each time I’ve worn it. Looks great with a black T-shirt and dark jeans. It’s quite comfortable as the material has some stretch. I’ll need to get the sleeves shortened. I’m so glad I bought this!!

This is my 2nd R&B Slade blazer and they are great. They are not lined and the fabric is a little stretchy, which makes them comfortable but still super polished. This one is an elegant version of the tweed blazer look. Looks great with black or camel and would be fun with jeans. R&B blazers are not cheap but for me still decent value because of how much I will use it.

I’m really glad I purchased this because it is a lovely blazer that I can throw on over jeans, a pencil skirt or trousers, depending on the formality and sophistication of my intended look. I particularly enamored with the plaid and subtle colors - there’s almost an English countryside vibe to it even if the description says military. In terms of sizing,, I don’t usually wear 16 but had to size up in order for this jacket to fit across my bosom. I’ll need to tailor the sleeves or fold them. Disappointed with it not being lined - I would expect a blazer at this price point to be lined - but maybe I am living in an olden time.
