Raye Gladiator Sandal (Women)

First of all these sandals were packaged so beautifully & I really appreciate the cardboard foot form inside to keep the sandal from getting deformed during transport! I've owned other Sam Edelman shoes before & in my experience the shoes that are in European sizes they run small & the ones that are in US sizes usually fit pretty true to size. For some reason whenever I shop at any Rack I always have to size down by half a shoes size. That being said, when I came across these online I figued that the 6.5 would fit perfectly & they possibly could once I break them in, so not a complete deal breaker. There's 2 issues I have with these gorgeous gladiator style sandals in the ecru sand color. The first being the fact that they are not made worth real leather, which is a shame seeing as how they're Sam Edelman sandals & all the shoes I've owed by the brand are made with leather. Also not a deal breaker, seeing as how these sandals look very well made, as mentioned in a couple of earlier reviews. The footbead is sewn to the actual soul of the shoes, which makes a huge difference when it comes to quality! The second complaint I have with this sandal, is with the thong portion of the shoe that goes between the big toe & the one next to it. It is very bulky & extremely stiff. Probably wouldn't bother me as much had l gotten them in a size 7 but that's neither here nor there. Because I ended up falling in love with these, from the color to the fine little details on all the hardwear, I'm going to try to work out these 2 issuses buy wearing the around the house for a week or two to try & break them in. I'll try to update my review if I can remember to do so. Althogh none of the issues I mentioned are deal breakers for me, I really wished I hadn't fallen in love with them as much as I have because it would make returning them so much easier considering the price for none leather sandals.
