I truly do not understand how Reiss managed to get the sizing so wrong on this trench coat. I ordered three sizes — 10, 8, and 6 — and every single one of them was enormous. At this point, are they just guessing with their sizing?
It’s beyond frustrating to have to order multiple sizes just to maybe find one that fits. No one should have to buy every size available to figure out which one works. For a brand at this price point, this is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the jacket isn’t even lined. There is absolutely nothing about this coat that justifies the cost — poor fit, no lining, and zero attention to detail. This trench is going straight back, and I will never purchase from this brand again.

Poor Quality
For the cost of this coat, I expected much more. There is no lining in the coat and the buttons look cheap. It’s more of an elevated sweater coat than a winter coat and not worth the price. It does not run small as listed online. I ordered a size 2, my normal size, and it was huge. Will definitely be returning.

Beautiful coat
This coat is beautiful. The color is perfect, and it’s well made. It is unlined, so it’ll be perfect for fall and spring where I live. It definitely runs large. I bought my normal size 4, but I definitely could wear a size 2 or even 0. I’m going to keep it, though, because I like that it’s a bit oversized. My one complaint is that it arrived very wrinkled. I’m going to have to steam it before wearing it. Overall, I love the coat and I’m very happy I was finally able to snag it during the Anniversary sale after trying for the last few years!

I am 5’10, 36DD, 160 lbs, large athletic build. The size 8 fit me perfectly, so it definitely runs large. I normally am a size 10-12 to fit my shoulders and long arms. The coat is long and perfectly proportioned for a taller person. It might overwhelm someone under 5’7”. The fabric is soft and not too thick. Perfect for my San Diego climate. Might be too thin for a colder city. It’s a classic that will never go out of style.
