Flexagon Force 4 Sneaker (Men)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use them as my every day shoe and very comfortable easy to break in. A little heavier than I thought but nothing I couldn't get used too. I need shoes specifically for the gym and it's a bonus if they work for daily wear. I'm dead on the max for a U.S. 9.5 in most gym shoes, a standard width heel, neutral but pronounced arch and highish bridge, wide at the ball/metatarsal area. I currently move/walk/run with a heel strike and hard weighty steps. This shoe is a bit narrow, making it feel too tight out of the box. It feels like the upper will give and eventually break in to allow some side foot overflow of the sole. The sole has grooves for flexibility. The sole has some cushion give but traction is just ok, not good on a smooth surface. I do very little intense or dynamic movements in the gym. The shoe upper did not feel like it would hold my feet steady in place for the minimal I am capable of. (Burpees, treadmill running, backwards and side stepping, weighted calf and tibialis raises) The foot bed feels a little firm to me and doesn't appear to give a lot of return from running and jumping. This is inoffensive for short distance warm-ups. The shoe will likely break-in offering some improvement in this area. There's a hard wedge in the heel of the sole which minimizes cushion there that doesn't bode well for my heel strike running style. Style is subjective, but it's not my style. As a new shoe in this price point it's a plain enough shoe to be rather neutral and inoffensive both for various basic gym needs and everyday wear, it just doesn't work for my needs on my feet.
