Not actually cords but great pant
They are courderoy-like material but without wales. Color is great. Definitely order a size smaller than your regular.

Not Corduroy!
I've returned these pants for 2 reasons. First: They are much more like a velvet/velore mix thab corduroy. Secind: way too short.

Different Fabric
I purchased the Marilyn straight leg corduroy pants in the petite size (2P) and liked it so much I wanted another pair. However, the 2P was not available so I purchased the regular size 2 and decided I could have it shortened. I was surprised to notice that the regular size 2 was thinner and more like a velvet fabric rather than corduroy. I will keep it, but this should have been noted in the description.

Fuzzy, thin, not corduroy
Agree with previous reviewer, the fabric is more like a velveteen than corduroy. The material was much thinner than I was expecting. I was hoping to find a thicker work pant, but these are more like dress pants you might wear to a holiday party indoors. Still pretty & they have a nice fit. Very long but not too long for me that I would need to tailor them (I am 5’9”.) Nice rich black color. I sized down as usual for this brand.

Not straight legged enough
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Baggy around the lower hip/upper thighs and the leg opening is more like a modified boot cut - not straight. I guess I prefer a slimmer straight leg. Not flattering on my frame.
