Barbara High Waist Bootcut Jeans

This is was my first time purchasing this brand. I had been looking for a new pair of bootcut jeans and the price was right on these. I read the reviews and sized down and was initially bummed when I received them because they mistakenly sent a size smaller. Thank goodness they did because they fit perfectly! At 5'4" I was worried they would be too long but they are great with heels. I am usually a 2/4 and the 00 are great!

I purchased these jeans because I've been happy with this brand in the past. My last pair of NYDJ's were a size 10, and a size 10 this time around seemed a bit big, as they seem much stretchier than in the past. More lycra and less jean I guess? But the biggest negative was the smell - they have that odd chemically smell that sometimes comes with foreign products. It's hard to accurately describe, but it is still lingering after several washings and it is not pleasant. I need jeans, so not going to return them, but these were a let-down for the price.
