Satin T-Shirt

I love the feel of this top and the way it looks, unfortunately this was not flattering at all. It was actually shapeless. I have other dolman sleeve tops and they are much better than this shapeless design. This top definitely didn’t look like the model - the pictures were somewhat deceiving - the sides of the top are tucked under the underarm of the model. IRL this top needs darts at the bust, otherwise this just doesn’t drape properly, especially if you have ample breasts. This top will probably work best for someone who has a small bust. I don’t think going up a size will work because the rest of the top will be too big. IMO I don’t think this top merits the tailoring expense. For reference I have an hourglass shape, 185lbs, 5’6 tall, 36G bust, 15”shoulder length, 35” waist. Hope this helps. I bought a size 1X. Top was true to size. Sadly this is going back.

I wanted a satin T-shirt for dress and casual and gave this one a try because it is not made of the usual polyester material which is difficult to wear where I live in a hot climate. It's made of viscose which is like a rayon, no spandex. Regarding sizing, apparently this top runs small because I decided to order up one size based on some things I read online about recommending going up if you are between sizes. I expected the top to be too large, but it was not. So, if you are interested, I recommend going up one size. It looks wrinkled in the picture, but I did not yet wash it, so the wrinkles were from it being packed. Main thing, the fabric is soft and may be more comfortable to wear since it's not polyester satin. I would like to see more colors.
