Axel Weatherproof Knee High Boot (Women)

Ordered 9M boots, my usual medium width which works even in the pointy toe boots felt too snug. The top of the foot was under a lot of pressure and my 15” calves were being squeezed especially when I was sitting, making them look unsightly because of overspill above the shaft. I had to pass them along to my daughter who is half my age. However, I do like the look and feel of them overall as they really went well with my bag that I own. So I will try re-ordering them in 9.5 wide. I like the fact that they are weatherproof.

These boots are well balanced, and so comfortable that I can wear these all day long. The heel is high enough that you can wear these for a dressier look, which makes it a versatile boot for any occasion. I have a high instep, and it was a bit of a challenge to get them on quickly at first. A full side zip would have alleviated that problem. I usually wear a size 7 in M or W width; I purchased these in 7W. The combination of the leather and neoprene fabric adds to the beauty of the design (of the boots). Living in New York, the weatherproof aspect of the boots are a plus! I highly recommend these boots.
