Colorful but hurt
I bought both the low and mids of this style. I fractured my ankle last year in 2 places, including the outer ankle bone. Was hoping for some added ankle support as I usually wear lighter trail shoes (have several pair of Sirens). Unfortunately these hit right at mid outer ankle bone and my ankle doesn't appreciate it. I am an 11-1/2 M, but some M are too narrow especially with cushioned socks. I took a chance on the 12W. If you are a true W these may be too narrow. They fit well for me with hiking socks. Wearing the lows around the house and may keep those.

Great hiking shoes
I have the women's 8.5 wide, and I wear them regularly for 6 mile or so hikes. They kept my feet dry in a downpour. They are great hiking shoes.

Find your sizing sweet spot
I bought three pairs before I found the right size. Usually I’m a 6 in everything, but I could just tell that the toe box was too snug for a long hike. 6.5 too big in back, 6 wide for the win!! I’ve never purchased a wide width shoe before, but it was just enough extra room to be perfection!

Great boots!
I have wide feet and many shoes don't fit well. I bought a 10 Wide and they fit great! Very comfortable and love the way they look.

Colorful, Comfortable and Steady
I found these shoes to fit well (love the wide width). As you can see, they match almost anything! I wore these shoes while exploring Eastern Europe as well as hiking CO mountain trails. I was always comfortable and secure in my footing.

Unlikely hikers are my Likely to Hike in Boots
This Moab 3 unlikely hiker is the best hiking shoe to come out of Merrell ever. I bought the mid after buying the lower cut one. These boots just give me a little more ankle support and feel comfortable right out of the box, which is a huge plus cause most mid boots are stiff and need to be broken in. The wide width is great for this 65 yr old lady, whose feet have expanded after kids, knee replacement and a broken foot. Only complaint, Merrell needs to start marketing to older hikers, who actually are out on the trails ever day. No weekend warriors here, I hike 30 to 50 miles a week and I need shoes like these that can do handle a 9 mile hike, with various terrain and lots of Al’s,elevation gain. I live in the mountains of Colorado where flat hiking doesn’t exist.!
