Design flaw. Inner strap catches my little toe.
There seems to be a design flaw with these shoes. I use them for water aerobics, so I do not wear socks with them. Whenever I put them on, my little toe gets caught on the inner strap that winds around the inner shoe and wraps around the laces.

Nice sandal / shoe
I love these shoes . Perfect for warmer weather , but I wear them as early spring to late into fall as I can feel comfortable with . This is really a sandal feel in a shoe . The toe box is a bit wider than the normal Merrell fit , giving your foot room to spread out like in a sandal . Going on two years with this shoe as a fair weather go to . Very comfortable bare foot feel to them , I motor all over the place with them . Nice olive color with the orange high lights . . The heel fabric is a bit stretchy , Nice . I like it .

Quality control issue
Left shoe was great but the right one had a rough seam inside that abraded the top of my foot. I returned them for another pair that had the same problem but worse.

Wet or Dry
I purchased these primarily for a trip to Ecuador. A lot of the activities involved in and out of the water. I needed a shoe that could work trekking as well as getting in and out of the water. Used them for white water rafting and canyoning. In both cases the shoe worked very well. It's a great shoe that crosses over with multiple types of activities.
