Moab 3 Ready Zip Hiking Shoe

I’ve been wearing Moabs at work for years. I replace the laces with elastic so they’re slip-on/off. I thought this zip version would save me the hassle, but there’s no way to adjust the laces at all. This seems a very off design choice for something that’s supposed to be a hiking shoe. I suppose I could cut the laces out and replace them with new laces or elastic, but what’s the point then? Would keep these if the laces were adjustable, but I think I’ll have to return them.

I have these in white and I absolutely love them! the zipper is so convenient. I cannot wear the step-ins because my in-step is too high. These are perfect!

The fit was true to size and comfy. Wish l could tie the laces for a snugger fit. Liked the zipper.

Merrell is my go-to as a pro-dog-walker in every MI weather. Was excited to get easy on/off zip hikers in cool color & usual comfort footbed. Always taking shoes off in client homes so seemed cool. BUT, the no-give laces are for ONE FIT since they lack the usual toggle you push to move & snug up the static laces. My heel was slipping as I tried the home carpet test. Very disappointed in this simple fit issue. Would have been happy with regular lace-ups & the zip so they remain custom to your foot.
