Perfect for me
These are the most comfortable out of the box I ever had from Merrill. They are great hiking shoes. I wish I had bought 2 pairs at the time.

Not bad but...
I like the shoes. I would love them but the right shoe feels "off." I didn't get to exchange them, I was too late. i'll wear them to the office.
I have Merrell Moab boots and wore them non stop during recent 2-3 weeks of snow and ice. Waterproof the entire time. Very comfortable.

Pretty good except for one thing
The footbed is supportive and comfortable and the lacing keeps the shoe close to my foot. However the tongue of the shoe is quite high and hits me at the top of my ankle. If I wear "no show" socks it makes a hot spot on long hikes. This is easily addressed for me by wearing taller socks but I wish it didn't do this.

The PERFECT support shoe.
My PERFECT support shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and the shoes others suggest always have good arch support but never good heel support. I put these shoes on and it was like warming in a warm blanket on a cold day. These shoes fit my feet perfectly and I can be on my feet all day with no pain. I have now bought 2 pairs and plan to buy several more to put in my closet just in case they are ever discontinued. The first pair I have had for about 7 months and they still look new, despite lots of wear. Most of the shoe wipes clean easily, not a single thread has come loose and the bottom traction doesn’t look worn at all yet.
