Agility Peak 5 Gore-Tex^® Trail Running Shoe (Women)

These are unreal, super lightweight which is rare for goretex water proof shoes, good mid foot support and the cushion is great I never leave reviews, but had to with these The all black ones are nice looking enough to wear to a casual office on rainy days Might not use these on the trails but rather walking on rainy days

I have several Merrill’s, the agility peak has been my go to for the last few years. I live in Moab ( yes that Moab), and run and hike in rough terrain. I need a big toe box, aggressive tread and have both the GTX and regular style. I buy a half size up to a 9.5 but decided to go up another half size to accommodate my thicker socks. Big mistake, although I have a good fit, my heel constantly slips which can be quite uncomfortable, allowing small rocks in my shoe. I do put another insert in because I need the extra padding. I don’t know quite what to do about the heel slippage. Otherwise I really like this style. I’m not crazy about the color, I usually wait for the sales and i ended up with black this time but color doesn’t make the shoe. Merrill I’m still open to being a shoe tester 😉

I spend most of my workday in sneakers and on foot. As a result I’m no stranger to a good fitting pair of sneakers. These are not the worse I’ve tried but they definitely leave a lot to desired regarding support, cushion, and I found for my feet the sizing to run a bit narrow and small. If you like a more natural cushion and have a narrow foot then maybe these are just perfect for you. However, that was not the case for me and I had to return them.
