Velvet leather?
Considering this purchase as I've never been disappointed with Mephisto, but what is "velvet leather"? I don't buy nubuck as I have found it stains.

Sole too heavy
The shoes are super heavy, and the soles do not bend so I feel like I am walking flat foot. They are a tad narrow, but I have wide feet. I feel the sides of the shoe under the front strap. I think the back strap is too long. If I place the heel strap to "fit", then my heel does not go to the back of the sandal (that is a peeve of mine) , and the back strap interferes with the arch strap. Generally speaking, I cannot wear these often. On the positive note, the suede is super soft, and nothing on top rubs!

Delicious color of orange!

Velcro strap only sandals
The sandals are not hook and loop straps. All three straps are secured by Velcro only. The footbed is comfortable but
sole is heavier that most sandals. The ankle strap is slightly high and touches the ankle bone. I am returning the shoes.
