These pants are lovely. But, as previous reviews stated, these pants have a very strange design which makes them very difficult to put on. Very difficult! There is no zipper, no elastic waistband, almost no give at all. It does seem that something was forgotten.
That said, there are two buttons which can be released to give, perhaps, an extra inch or so.
I fit into the M, with GREAT EFFORT, but then they are extremely comfortable. The fabric is lovely and the pleated front is very attractive.

No Way to Pull Up Over Hips if You are Curvy
The material is nice. Unfortunately, I couldn't even try it on. There's no zipper or button to open to help pull over thighs and hips of a curvy girl. If you're narrow or your waist is the same width as your thighs, then these are your sort of pants. Curvy ladies, stay away.

No way to pull up if you are curvy
Came here to reiterate what other reviewers have said. The pants are soft, have a nice material and sit nicely on my body BUT if you have hips/a butt, it's a REAL STRUGGLE to pull them up. Forget using the restroom while wearing them.
These pants NEED a button and zipper. The two buttons held by elastic did NOTHING to help me pull them up.
Only buy if your waist and hip measurements are almost equal.

comfy and chic for boyish hips
Normally a 4, bought the XS and fit is great. Not curvy *at all* below the waist (sadly) so these were easy to pull on. Replaced buttons w nicer black & gold buttons & these pants look 1000%!

Not what I hoped
I love structured, tailored-looking trousers; these pants are not that. They are not bad by any means; they are just not as flattering to me. For reference, I have wide hips, a small/medium waist, and a long torso. I have another pair by Max Studio that I Love. I'll stick to those. 170lbs, 5’6” - 28” waist and 35” hip.
