Fun for older kids/teens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a family that LOVES to play games, we literally have dozens. I've played this before with friends but didn't own it. My 12 year old son is on the early end of the age range but got into it quickly. It's nice that it isn't time/reflex dependent so that older kids/young teens have an equal opportunity to win. We have played several times and look forward to including this in our next family game night.

Family game for older kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mixed feelings about this game. It’s hard to always have 4 or more players and I felt like even my 13 and 14 year old couldn’t quite figure it out. Some of the phrases or words are over their heads. We play a lot of games as a family and unfortunately I don’t think this one will be used as often. I was a little disappointed I had heard about the game from a friend and she has older kids around 16 and they enjoy it. It just wasn’t a good fit for my family. However I will say the instructions were very easy to understand and the cards are good quality. They don’t bend or crease easily.

Party game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The game was a hit for the older kids . The instructions were easy to understand . The colors of the cards were vibrant and they were sturdy . Love that 12 people can play this game ! It says four year olds can play but I think it’s a bit challenging for them because to understand.

All day play!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this game. My family and I recently took a vacation to Hawaii and we took the game with us. It’s great how compact it is, yet has so many cards to offer a variety. It is a kids game, yet perfect for a family to play together. It is well made and has held up well in travel and play.

So Much Fun in Such a Small Box! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a fun game! Perfect for game nights with friends and family, definitely a game that has brought lots of laughs. I already own the original Apples to Apples in the larger box, however, I wanted something more compact that would be easier to bring to places and travel with. This specific edition helps with just that, so I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a smaller version of the same game. The game itself is so simple to learn, yet one of favorites. It is just so fun, both for children and adults alike :) Highly recommend!

Easy to play and fun for all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A family game night hit! We took Apples to Apples on vacation with us and played everyday. From ages 9 to 76, there were laughs and good times had by all. Setup and game play is quick and easy, which is always nice with younger kids that just want to play a game.

Fun but miss the original

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mattel Games Apples to Apples Party Box card game is not the same game as the original Apples to Apples card game. This is a great game and is fun for all ages but still not as fun as the original Apples to Apples game. While we did have fun with family and friends (ages 8-60) we didn’t laugh and enjoy the game as much as when we played the original version. This family game is, however, pretty easy to learn and a good time. We love game night and look forward to it.

Great time playing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had such a good time playing this. There were only 3 of us but we just went through the deck playing until we were out of green cards. There are similar games out there but not ones that are this family-friendly.

Great family fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Apples that apples is a great addition to our family game nights. It’s great for all ages. Both our 7 and 14 year old had fun playing. They didn’t wanna put it away to play any other games. There was lots of laughs.

Good family fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun game with my order kids and husband. Lots and lots of cards to choose from. We will take it on vacation to play more. We don't always have four people we can play with at home. It's great for when you're having a get together.
