Scalloped Sequined Lace Sheath Dress

I’m a professional singer and was hired to sing for a wedding. I purchased this dress for that particular job; however, this is very fitting and did not compliment my full body figure. This would look lovely on someone who may have a full body figure, but this person needs to be toned so maybe the extra desserts don’t show. Ha. Ha. It is a beautiful gown though. It’s just under the lights, etc., it was not right for performing, but wearing for a sit down dinner—perfect!

The dress is perfect for a formal occassion or evening out. Very comfortable to wear, lightweight and doesn't easily wrinkle. The slightly stretchy material makes dancing and other activities easier. The overall sillouette is stunning. Unfortunately, the sizes are way off. The "medium" I tried it on at a store was very tight (I'm a size 8). They didn't have a larger size, so I ordered it online. Order a size up.

This dress would have been perfect if it had a zipper at the back, or at least some stretch room around the neck. Literally have to force it over your head and face.

This dress was beautiful and exactly what I was looking for! That being said the dress arrived today. I tried it on and the right seam is seen in a really distorted way. Going back to the store. Afraid to order another one. As I placed it back on the hanger it was very noticeable.

I purchased this in a beautiful, deep amethyst color, Size 2X, tho I’m usually an 18. I felt it would be easier to have it taken in. It is a very beautiful dress, but there is something strange about the cut of the bustline. I had this problem with another, very similar dress by the same maker; a light-nude lace sequined dress. The only real difference in this amethyst dress is that the bust was far too tight (I’m only 36D.) A Size 2X should be plenty big for me. The darts were oddly sewn like the other dress I reviewed. But this purple one had a high neckline, rather a tight crewmeck, and it made me look shockingly top-heavy. I wanted to love these dresses; they’ll fit someone nicely, just not me. Returning.

This dress has a flattering fit and ran true to size. I’m an older woman, size 6 and ordered the small. The neckline is so pretty and it has just enough sequins to look dressy but not too flashy. Stretchy enough to be comfortable, not too tight. It has no zipper, so it IS a bit tough to pull on and off over your head. Lovely dress for any event. Looks more expensive than it is.
