Great Dress but Too Expensive to Hem

I love the dress, but it was a little long for me. When I asked to have it hemmed, I was told it would cost $45.00. The dress only cost $54.00. How is Nordstrom Rack a bargain??

easy to wear

Doesn’t crease, is very comfortable and forgiving to any lumps and bumps. I often sew shirt dresses shut to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions or gapping, but don’t need to on this one
