V-Neck Baby Tee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I avoid leaving bad reviews, but I felt in this instance it was necessary: this item is not Madewell's usual quality. The fabric is soft and sturdy and the color is really nice, but the item looks poorly put together and the t-shirt I received had splotches of darker areas right in the front (not sure if it's from the fabric manufacturing or maybe it was just dirty). It is a very fitted shirt, which is what I wanted—a bit cropped, the sleeves are short and the neckline is actually more pronounced on me than on the model so it would look great with high waisted pants or skirts. To create the v shape, there is a stitch running through the middle of the shirt's neckline, which leaves a chunk of extra fabric that makes it bulge out and looks totally unfinished, not to mention loose threads and stitching that will not hold in a wash. Very disappointing quality and not what I expected from Madewell. I would skip this one and stick to the whisper v-neck t-shirts.
