The Melody Smocked Cotton Midi Dress in Daisy Print

This dress is good for those in between days. It is more maxi than midi on my 5’4” frame and as others have stated it is fully lined and has pockets. The color looks more brown in person and maybe plum in the sunlight. I was on the fence about keeping it as I felt like it overwhelmed and a little too prairie. But I asked my daughter and she said I should keep it. Today was our first warm spring day and this was easy to reach for and feel pulled together with some cute sandals. This may be too hot on those scorching summer days but I think this will later great with a longline cardigan in the fall

I loved everything about this dress appearance wise. I’m petite (5’2 on a good day). The dress slightly overwhelmed my frame and it was obviously longer on me than the model. But it had pockets! It is lined, which is normally a good thing, but it added a layer that I just don’t want in the summer. The smocking also felt a bit suffocating for peak summer weather. For me, it just wasn’t the summer dress I was looking nor was I able stretch my imagination into how I’d wear into fall or in spring. This was a return for me.
