Fits Narrow, Great Versatility
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally wear a 9N women's shoe, as is normal for madewell shoes the regular width fits great. Had no issues breaking in the shoes, and love the classic look with the modern lug sole. Leather feels great, and is wearing well over time (been wearing about a month).

Poor design; incredibly painful
These are the most painful shoes I've ever worn. For a shoe so expensive, I was hoping they'd at least be designed to, you know, have a foot inside them? There's a thick seam under the decorative strap on the top of the shoe that cuts so deeply into your foot that they cut my skin through my socks after just a few hours of wear. I can't imagine this shoe was tested by actual people, because there's no way this design flaw would have gone unnoticed.

Super cute, good quality, weird sizing!
I want to love these so much because they are perfect aesthetically. I cannot walk in them 😩 my heel pops out every step I take. Couldnt size down any further or they’d be too short. Good if you have bigger heels, maybe mine are more on the narrow side.

Runs large
These run large. Even with socks, these things slip on my feet and can fit a whole thumb between my heel and the shoe. I’d size down at least a half if not whole size for a cozier fit. I like the style a lot but they’re just too uncomfortable and cumbersome to wear.

My go-to work shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these in August 2020 and, now, it's almost August 2025. I can't say how much i LOVE these shoes. They're my go to work shoes. They've broken in really nicely and have a worn in feel to them. I'm a huge fan. There is some threading that has gone loose on the top, but overall, really happy with how they've held up over the years. I do think they run a bit small though, maybe it's been updated over the years, but I'm wearing a 9.5 and my normal size is a 10.5.

Stylish but not too trendy
