These '90s-inspired straight-leg jeans sit high at the waist with a snug fit through the hips and thighs and the holds-you-in sorcery of Magic Pockets in front. The vintage-y structured denim has a touch of stretch for a broken-in feel. Please note: this fit runs small, designed to fit high and tight through the waist, so we recommend ordering one size larger than your normal size. For a more easy and relaxed look, we recommend going up two sizes.

Great jeans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took a size 25 (I'm a 26 in most jeans of any brand) because of the reviews that said they stretched but it was too small. I returned it for a 26 and feels so much better.I like that the belmere wash (black) feels like denim and it is a true black, other brands that carries black jeans sometimes feels like something else than denim.

Terrible sizing
These jeans are sized terribly! I ordered a 26, which is my waist size. Upon receiving the pants , I was shocked by how big they were . I looked at the size chart and it said that if you have a 26” waist, you need to order a 25 (why???) . I measure the pants themselves, and they have a waistband of 28”! I would love to get pants if they fit correctly , but now I don’t even know what size to order. There is no store here so the thought of repeatedly switching out items makes me question purchasing again.

The best jeans

Cute but short
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm between 5'7-5'8" and these pants are short on me in the Belmere wash, they hit me a little above my ankle bone - definitely not as long the photo shows. Wish they came in a Tall option (though I haven't needed that in this pant in other colors)! Sadly I can't return since I bought them on final sale. Also, the photos really don't show the texture of the color very well for the Belmere wash - it's not a solid black or grey, but kind of stippled, almost reminiscent of acid wash. Definitely not what I was expecting or something that goes with my style. I bought these in my regular Madewell size (26, usually a 27 in other brands) and they fit as expected besides the length. .

Different washes=different jeans
I bought the black wash in these jeans and was immediately obsessed. Perfect fit, length, and they were incredibly comfy. But I got the same size, same Jean in a different wash and they are completely different. The fit is so different, way too stretchy, and they’re way shorter than the other pair. Something to keep in mind.
