Smocked Waist Cotton Poplin Midi Skirt

I have been looking for a perfect white summer skirt. I had ordered a couple from 2 different stores and was very dissatisfied with them when they arrived. I wanted a summer skirt which was flattering and could be dressed up or down. I live in the SW where it is really hot all summer long. I walked into Madewell and found this great skirt. It is lined, has pockets and looks great with a tank top or with a professional jacket for a special occasion. My only wish now is they make it in black for the winter. I typically wear a medium but needed to size down to a small. It really needs to hug your body at below the waist. You will love this skirt! Well made. Looks expensive.

I bought the white and was afraid the fabric would be too light and sheer, but it's perfect. I bought the XS, which is my usual size and it fit fine in the waist. I'm only 5 ft. tall, so it's a little long on me, but I don't mind the midi/maxi length.

I got the white, great quality cotton, not see through, perfect length for my 5’ 4” height- about 3 “above the ankle. I did size down from usual XS to XXS per the other reviews, as the waist is elasticized. I have narrow hips but think the XS would have been fine, too. Very happy with this purchase!
