perfect for long torso hourglass figure
The person who recommended this for long torsos was right. It’s very flattering if you’re an hourglass with a long torso. I’m 5’7” with short legs and the length is great too. It’s comfortable and the fabric is nice. Also, the skirt lining mirrors the dress so it’s forgiving if you’re “hippy” instead of being a straight lining.

Sizing in larger sizes
The sizing between the XL and XXL is a huge difference. I was drowning in the XXL, so I returned it for an XL and it’s a little snug in the waist.

Cute for summer and day to night

I am tall with a bit of a belly and broad shoulders. Long torso. This dress makes me look 10 pounds light and totally amazing. I love it! Not too lightweight, and not too heavy. I wear a large in dresses and tops and the large was perfect.

Beautiful dress, not quite right for my body type
I have the Madewell Kaya dress in green and purchased this dress thinking it was the same style, however it is not (I think this one is called the Vayra dress). It is a beautiful, high quality dress however the fit didn’t work for me as well as the Kaya dress. The smocked waistband on this dress is quite wide, which doesn’t really work for my body type (hourglass, short torso) - where the smocking ends and the skirt begins hits at high hip for me which is an awkward fit. Would definitely be very flattering on someone with a longer torso!
