Just okay, not great
Not what I was expecting as the leather had a weird texture. It looked like beef jerky texture, and it was very distressed finish. Will return it. Also I compared another Madewell belt I own in the same size and this was about a half inch smaller.

Defective in areas due to uneven texture
I love Madewell belts, They are a good quality leather, and fit well. They are a typical thick, full grain leather belt, that holds up under multiple wearings. This belt is no exception to that.
I normally wear them with jeans, or dress pants. They last me several years. This year I wanted to update to a darker brown and add a burgundy belt and a black belt with a gold buckle.
Normally the quality is unquestionable, but I had 2 issues with this cherrywood belt:
1) It was textured in some places on the front of the belt, but smooth leather mostly throughout. Not attractive and not Madewell's usual quality.
2) The cherrywood color - I expected a burgundy due to the online picture, but it was more brown than burgundy. The buckle is a shiny brass as shown.
I recently ordered 2 other Madewell belts which are perfectly fine in leather/color.
I will return this one, and create a replacement order. Hopefully the new belt resolves the 2 issues.

Poor presentation
The belt is textured which was not visible on the web images. Also the belt looks like it was rolled or folded inappropriately and therefore has creases. Returning.
