Targhee IV Waterproof Mid Hiking Shoe (Women)

This is my third pair of Keens. I love the Kaci style, but decided to try these due to the delamination guarantee, as that's been the issue with my last two pairs after over a year (each) of heavy (farm) use. These are comfortable and fit just like my boots, but with a slightly lighter weight, which I expect will help with fatigue. Slightly narrower toe box but still wider than almost anything else out there. I'm going to try to make these my "nice" shoes until my others completely wear out. Excited to see how long they'll last since the delamination can't be an issue with these!

I'm not wearing them for the standard activities people would wear these for. I've been traipsing in and out of hospitals running logistics for my parents while my dad fights cancer. The Chicago winters are no joke at times, and I'm doing a lot of cold weather, wet weather, running in and out, pulling cars around, waiting by the car for the wheelchair. I don't have time to deal with wet socks, or even cold feet, and these boots are dependable, yet not too heavy. When we are not in a health crisis we go to Bears games and I was not able to try these out at a brutal cold game yet. The real trick is to have enough of a good thick sole between you and the cold cold hard ground in the stands. The soles on these seem like they would work for this too! I would really like it if the insole were a little thicker, and I think the hook eyelets at the top are a little too bent closed/tight as I have to work to jam the lace in the top lacing holes. On the flip side these have not come untied! Very dependable. Also I love how much room Keen gives you in the toe box. Sorry to be all over the place but I also would have liked to know if these boots are a neutral footbed or are for over pronators which women typically are. This is information I usually try to figure out when buying shoes. Cute doesn't matter if you can't comfortably walk in them! Thanks for reading all of this:)
