NXIS Evo Waterproof Hiking Sneaker (Women)

Tried these on and walked on hardwood. Not truly short, but because of the stiff rand coming up over the big toe, it felt just a bit "closed in and tight" to the distal top of my big toe. I am a size 36 in Birks, a 7 in active shoes, and measure between 6 & 6 1/2 on a Brannock device. Medium to slightly less than average volume foot. 6 1/2 is going back, and ordering 7. Liked the fit overall and especially the way the back cupped my heel. I live in the mountains and find waterproof is excellent for keeping the fine dust out of my shoes.

I have NARROW feet with absolutely no INSTEP. There is no way these shoes should have been so extremely tight width wise. What happened to Keen’s original wider shoe with the i Fay wide tie box???? Very disappointed! I’m not sure what has changed, but Keens are not like the original designs that were great. My whole family wears Keens. If these are the products you continue to make, we’ll be looking elsewhere. That’s three customers you’ve lost.

I really wanted to love this shoe, and needed it for walking the Camino de Santiago, but although the shoe is the right length, the fit is very uncomfortable. The waterproof fabric seems to bend like plastic and creates a painful pinch on only my right foot when walking. Because I didn't check the return policy, I bought while I was outside the US and wasn't able to return by the time I had a chance to try them on. Be sure to try them on and walk in them first, even if (like me) you have been wearing and loving Keens for years. Also, had to buy these a half-size bigger than my Targhees.
