These boots are worth keeping but i honestly expected better leather since these were the priciest boots i have ever purchased. The leather could pass for good vegan version. I don’t have wide calves but i ordered wide for plenty of legging room and I’m glad i did. I have small feet and ankles so pulling them on was not a challenge. It does take a little effort to get them off but not a game changer. Love the color. We will see how they hold up!

I really wanted to love these boots because Frye has such a great reputation, but I’m disappointed. I’ve worn them maybe once a month for about a year, and the sole has already started separating from the boot. For the price and brand name, I expected them to last much longer. The leather still looks beautiful, but the construction clearly didn’t hold up. I took good care of them and never wore them in harsh conditions, so it’s frustrating to see them fall apart with such light use. I wish Frye offered repair options or better quality control because I loved the look and style of these, but I can’t justify recommending them based on how they’ve held up.

These are gorgeous boots. The color, merlot, is a welcome addition to my boot choices. They do need to be broken in, but that is my experience with Frye boots. The fit is great . I look forward to having these boots for many years. I plan to purchase at least one more color of these boots.
