Floral Print Ruffle Long Sleeve Shirtdress

I am on the fence about whether to keep this dress or not. I found it to be boxy through the midsection and the ruffle at the drop waist pulled under my bum. However, I styled it with a black belt at the waist which brought the ruffle up higher and it looked much better. I am 5’4” and 137 lbs. the size 6 fit my narrow shoulders and the sleeves were not too long, which is often a problem with long sleeved garments. The length was too long for my height, but, after belting it, the hem fell just above my knee. I think this 65 y/o can pull it off with black tights and knee high boots. Still on the fence though.

The print is pretty and the material nice. I have liked this style dress in the past, but this one had just too many ruffles for my age.

I really love the print and I thought it would be a great dress to throw on and look chic with some booties. Sadly it's too boxy and shapeless. Also the ruffle seam ran right under my bum and accentuated it too much. I'm 180, 5'4", size 12 and this ran true to size (ordered size 12).

This is a gorgeous dress but for some reason I found there to be way too much fabric in the mid-section making the dress look really oversized. Purchased as part of the anniversary sale and will likely return for a smaller size.
