Shoes suction to the floor
Open cavity in center of the sole creates a suction cup effect to floors with smooth surfaces. Shoes make a popping sound when walking and often I can feel the resistance lifting my foot off the floor. I just returned these shoes.

I picked up the Amherst 2.0 Knits expecting a solid work-to-weekend shoe, and in terms of comfort, they totally deliver—the upper is lightweight and breathable, and the cushioning is great for all-day wear. Unfortunately, the outsole tread has a weird "suction cup" effect that makes a surprisingly loud popping sound whenever I walk on smooth wood or tile floors. They look and feel great, but that annoying indoor squeak keeps me from wearing them as much as I'd like.
