jackson top zip leather crossbody bag

Love Kate Spade's zip leather crossbody bags!! I've gone through at least 5 of them over the years (decades??). Even though I have other bags, this is the one I always reach for--it's simple and very practical with both the outside and inside zip pockets. It contains all my essentials and is not big or bulky. My only dislike with this version is the open interior pocket, as it gapes open and things slip out easily. Please bring back the 2 smaller open interior pockets--they are much more functional. And tell the KS company to never get rid of this style!!

For the price (I paid $125), this is a good, practical bag and will work well for travel. There are several indications that it's not real KS: 1) model number on tag inside bag does not match the Kate Spade model that shows up online (the real model is a large tote, not this cross-body ; 2) the font of the logo on front shows lines connecting the letters in "NEW" and "YORK"; 3) zipper pulls are leather, not metal; and have no logo; 4) label inside says "Made in Bangladesh"; 4) zipper on front is sewn in imperfectly, with a gap showing the cloth lining at the end; 5) the texture of the leather on the handle does not match the pebbled texture of the rest of the bag; 6) the finish on the gold-tone trim is considerably duller than on my other KS's'; 7) the leather feels like veneer, much inferior to the other KS bags I have. Nordstrom Rack is endangering its credibility as a reputable merchant by selling this bag as a Kate Spade. I got what I paid for, but I wouldn't call this a bargain. I won't be buying any more bags online from Nordstrom Rack.
