Pleated Strapless Mesh Gown

I really love this silhouette and especially the beautiful navy floral pattern — one of my favorite finds. But I was so disappointed by the bodice. I wasn’t thrilled by the squared notch to begin with, but I tried this dress in 2 sizes, and both had visible construction flaws. The boning makes the lining stick out and show at the top, and the bust pieces flare out, so there's a gap and the silicone grip doesn’t even touch the body to secure the dress. Sadly, it just looks unflattering and poorly made at the top… I expected better quality for this price. Also, the waist runs large—I sized down from my usual 4 to a 2 and would’ve considered another size down if the dress had otherwise worked to keep it secure. Imo this dress would’ve been better without the squared notch & defective boning, and if the "cup" pieces had a more classic rounded shape. I also would've preferred straps. It’s a heavier dress, and for me, the silicone doesn’t grip, the waist isn’t secure, and the "cups" flare away, but even just having straps could’ve solved these issues. I really hope Hutch makes an improved version!
