Almond Water Repellent Faux Shearling Lined Hooded Puffer Jacket

I have been very picky about my winter coat this year and returned a few. I saw this in black and just wow! The exterior looks like leather and it is well like and warm. Figure flattering. I’m a small and got a medium for layering. I have the black and the beige is in my cart now! Hunter is a hidden gem with cold weather wear

This is a good solid coat, but it looks like something for winter hiking, sledding, fishing or camping, rather than a city coat. It's a true parka and seems to run very large, even for an XL...feels more like XXL. The raglan sleeves are a great help for mobility and for layering sweaters underneath, although they are not super-flattering. With elastic at the hem, this coat hugs the legs more than seems normal, but hopefully that will help provide good protection in a blizzard-type situation or when tobogganing or sitting down outdoors or on buses or trains -- your behind may actually stay dry! On the down side - none of the pictures I saw showed that the lining is bright red! The misleading "shearling lining" is only on the hood and thin strips along the zipper, which could definitely be of better quality - it looks like plastic. The interior pockets and the lining in general are pretty flimsy, and it looks like the interior straps are going to eventually rip it open. Otherwise, it seems to be well made. In a nutshell, recommend this for sporty situations but not for fashion. Which reminds me to wonder why Hunter named the style "Almond", as it doesn't really reflect the shape and could easily be mistaken for a color choice. That's just weird. Overall I do like this coat -- I was just expecting something a little less sporty, and feel like I will still need another coat for movies, shopping, church, etc.
