Definitely size down a couple of sizes even if you’re really hesitant! I am a true midsize girlie and usually wear a 12. 5’1 and usually 165-170lbs. I have a tummy and NO bootie or hips so jeans usually fit me really weird. These are PERFECT. They slimmed in my tummy area and fit snug on my bootie and crotch without so much excess material. LOVE but yes definitely size down.

Dont do it
I am 5-4 and 28” inseam is just right for me. These jeans look sloppy, tired, and old by the end of an 8 hr work day. It looks like baggy diaper within the first couple of hours. I don’t recommend.
