Gimoa Buffalo Plaid Virgin Wool Blend Coat

I grabbed a size 8 and a size 6 for my 5’4” 145 lbs self. The size 6 was the winner. The fabric smells a little funky. It is a wool blend, and it that’s exactly what it smells like. The pockets are in fact sewn shut, but the seam can be removed. There is no liner, but I think that’s by design to make the jacket more drapey . I’m looking forward to giving this jacket a try on a trip to Boston this fall!

Was so excited for this piece in the anniversary sale. I ordered the smallest size knowing it would be oversized. However it was still way too big for me. It’s is also unlined so not comfortable or cozy. The pockets were also completely sewn shut, not just stitched shut temporarily. There was no way to open them up myself. For the price (on sale or not) I think this was a big miss for Isabel Marant.

The pockets are seamed shut for protection, not missing. It is HUGE so size down. But not too much, the arms are short. It is very itchy and should have a lining. Some of the stitching on the collar is uneven in places. I didn't seem like a good value to me.

This was the only thing I put on my wish list...I didn't get it right away because it sold out so quickly. Size 2 isn't my normal size but in this sweater coat...it's the only size that fits but is still big and boxy. Cons: not lined, high price! I think if there was a light liner of any kind in the sweater it would have made it not itchy and taken up some of the extra room in the size. Pros: It's gorgeous and it's comfortable and you can wear it anywhere.

Waited until this coat came back in stock during the Anniversary Sale and it did not disappoint! As other reviewers have mentioned, it is unlined but it keeps the coat from being heavier than it already is. Will be perfect for fall/winter in CA!

The pockets are sewn with a temporary stitch. It is just a basting stitch holding the pockets closed so they don’t get misshapen during shipping. It is easy to open; look for the contrast thread. There is no lining, only cotton bias strip on the edges of the seams. It is a relatively loose knit, structured sweater. It’s not going to block any wind. Perfect for only slightly chilly weather.
