Heavy and bad zipper

In Topshop, I normally wear a US 4, but I purchased a US 6 based on the Nordstrom 'fits like 2-4' recommendation. Too big in the waist. IRL, the color also appears medium stonewash, not the indigo suggested in the photos. That said, the fabric quality feels like proper denim, soft 100% cotton (no stretch). This one works for tall Bettys, too; I'm 5'11", and it falls to the base of my calves.
