I liked the skirt, ran a little large to size, but very, very long. There is no way to hem it without losing the mermaid detail. A shame to have to return.

Soft denim
Denim is soft which gives the skirt nice movement and comfort. However, the fabric is also a bit stretchy so it doesn’t look great if you tend to bloat or have a fuller stomach. I’ll be returning as I prefer a stiffer denim but otherwise it’s a nice skirt.

I absolutely love this skirt. By the time I decided to purchase, I had to do so from another store because my size was sold out through Nordstrom. This skirt can take you from work to play, and the slight mermaid hem adds style, whimsy and ease of movement. This was the fourth denim skirt I tried. I should have just bought it from the beginning of my quest. This black skirt is versatile and I love that it’s a true maxi length even though I’m tall.
