'Harness 8R' Boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting a pair of Frye boots for a long time, ordered them and am very happy with them. I read previous reviews and ordered a half size down but had a hard time getting them on where the ring is. I would stick with original size.

I got him the brown tone which he liked and it really goes with everything. Husband said they only took a short time to break in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The boot does run a bit big; I usually wear a 14 and I got the 13 and it fits great. It takes a bit of time to break in the boot but after wearing them 3-4 times now I can feel the leather starting to give and fits even better. These are really well made boots and I can see them lasting for a very long and are worth the price. I would suggest not wearing them a full day when you first get them since they are a bit stiff and you need to allow some time to break them in. The color, workmanship and over all style are great and I am now looking at getting the same pair in black. Great boot!

I've wanted boots like these for years, and finally decided to treat myself. My feet are a little wide, so I ordered my normal size instead of the size down and they fit great. The first time I put them on, I was certain I'd have to get a size larger, but after two days of wearing them, they stretched to the perfect width, and the slight heel slip disappeared.

My bf usually wears 11.5 in athletic shoes, he had wide-ish feet and I ordered 11 -- they fit great. A bit hard to get on, but easier the second time around. He just got them so only time will tell how long they last and how long they take to break in. He really likes them (he's 50), but then again, you really can't go wrong with such a timeless style. Nordstrom shipping was fast, as usual, but the boots didn't come in a Frye box. Don't know what that's about since I tend to keep my boots in the box it comes in.

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever purchased. The level of customer service I had at the store in White Plains, NY was second to none. They ordered them for me and I had them in three days. I put them on and they fit like a glove. Word of caution ...they advertise they run a half size large. That's for the normal foot. I have EEE's so I had to order the size I normally would. EEE's? Don't order half size small.

THESE ARE VERY NICE BOOTS MY SIZE IS 8M BUT I ORDER 7.5M BASED ON REVIEWS, I HAVE TO RETURN THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE NARROW AND SIZE 8 WILL BE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR ME NOT AVAILABLE AT THE STORE BUT WILL ORDER CORRECT SIZE LATER. GREAT SERVICE AT THE STORE NO PROBLEM WITH RETURN!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned many MANY boots in my days - from rugged, to western, to biking and more. The Harness 8R is by far my favorite for FIT, COMFORT and all around style. It can be worn with just about anything from dress-down to dress up (but please DO NOT wear with shorts!). If you do not own a pair - You Need These in your collection.

These boots look so cool but unfortunately my size 13, which I always wear, were too big in the heel and my foot kept raising up with each step. Even with thick socks these boots were too big. I even tried the size 12 but those were too small. I would not recommend these boots if your foot runs on the narrow side. Unfortunately, both sizes are going back....

I bought these for my husband and he loves them! They look great with jeans and the square toe is very attractive! The ONLY issue is that they are a little difficult to get on and off. As he has been wearing them, they have stretched out. In other words, they are getting easier to get on and off each time he wears them. :) Frye makes a beautiful boot and the quality is always top notch!!

It is the one boot you can wear for casual evenings or running around town in. They get better with age as they break in. Expect them to be a bit stiff at first until the leather stretches.
