Ultraviolet Maxi Dress

I purchased the black and white version. The dress was very cute but the torso was crazy short and I have a short torso. The bottom was also way more voluminous than I was expecting. I debated but in the end I returned it.

I bought brown one with white dots, became so disappointed, though delivery was fast...:) I expected better quality from Free People... RETURNED!!

I absolutely adore this dress. It is amazing. I’m a very petite girl. I only weigh 119 pounds and I’m 53 I got this in a small and a medium would’ve been more comfortable. The small does work but it’s a little tight up top, which is interesting considering Free People is usually oversized so I thought I might need an extra extra small but turns out I actually would’ve preferred a bigger size. It is stretchy, but for some reason, not very much up top and I’m not sure what the point of the back tie is as it doesn’t make anything tighter. It literally is there for no reason. The quality of this dress has definitely gone way way way way way down or else this size would’ve been perfect for me. I bought this exact same dress 10 years ago. It’s the same exact dress but it tightens up differently and it’s much better quality Free People is starting to really go downhill and it’s sad to see. I will be returning this as I didn’t even get the right color….. The price does not match up with the quality. Looks pretty but quality is horrific for this price even on sale. This should be a $15 dress.

This is such a pretty dress! So lightweight, stylish, the back is so sexy and feminine but yes conservative. I wore this on Sunday and wore a short cardigan with it. Afterwards I removed the cardigan changed my shoes and totally changed the look! This what I like about this dress, you can change of the look and wear it for different occasions. Throw on a jean jacket with a pair of converse for a real care-free casual look. Can be worn to dressier social events with a pair of nice sandals and earrings. It’s very comfortable, fits nicely to cover the tummy area. If you are not comfortable showing so much skin on the back, wear a jacket, shawl, etc! I just love the versatility.

Runs large. Great for large chests and has pockets! Well made. I’m 5’4” and it hits the ground on me but I’m able to still wear flat sandles with it if I want.
