Rambler Denim Overalls

These overalls are absolutely adorable. The color has a nicely , faded look to it. I am 5'2" and weigh 130 lb. I own several pieces from Free People, but their sizing can be inconsistent so i  have items ranging from XS to a size L. However, for these overalls, the XS turned out to be the perfect size for me. Even so, there is still a little bit of room and very comfortable. I had read reviews on the Free People  that this style fits well on those with a shorter torso, so I was worried that I might not be able to squat down comfortably; however, that turned out to be no problem at all. The cut is raw hemmed and the length touches the ground a bit with my height. I really love these overalls and highly recommend them!

I have had experience with FP sizes being on the large side, so to combat consumer disappointment should the correct size not be available, I ordered an XS and S. The XS fit, but it didn't give me the wiggle room I was looking for. The S fit just right. A little bit of room in the waist. I was smitten with these from the moment I saw them. I was a little afraid they may look like rodeo clown pants on me, but they are just so darn cute. And I'm old. I've been around for a lot of fashion trends. Mini skirts and go-go boots and survived the 80s shoulder pads, slouch socks and big. hair. Overalls have evolved from farmer vibe to these amazing things. I've been wearing overalls since the 1970s and could care less about what society thinks is age appropriate attire for my age. Phooey! For reference I am 5'5" /124 and wear a S or size 4 most of the time. I have long legs and short waist and athletic build, no curves. I'm so glad I found these at The Rack for such a great price. I'll return the XS and keep the S.

These overalls I tried to make them work. I purchased a med and a small. Unfortunately the width of the legs and the pleats and the crotch are not proportionate. The length is short and I wanted that because I am short. However the crotch length isn’t. And this is what makes them look like a tent and have no style. If you are trying to hide your weight maybe you will like them. I’m not. I am petite and I do not want to look bigger than I am. Execution of style is all wrong here.

I thought these overalls would run large, as most Free People designs seem to be oversized. The small is a true small and fits loosely but still to my petite frame. Since I'm under 5'5, these fit don't fit cropped style, but that's okay too. They look great. Good quality denim and 100% cotton.
