Go 1 to 1.5 sizes down
I am an 8.5/9 (39 usually) and ordered an 8. I am re-ordering the 7.5 in the hopes that that will fit. I am specifically looking for a platform boot with height but no heel drop. Hard to find! It does give it more of a masculine feel but that's what my feet will tolerate.

I have a pair of these. Runs 1 size large. VERY small calf circumference. Muscular calfs beware! Leather is thin but adequate.

Style but not as comfortable as it looks
I really Like the style. I thought it would be like wearing a combat boot, that did not need the "break in" period. It was not as soft or as comfortable as I expected. Maybe with a little more wear, I might like them better.

Versatile Boots, Comfortable
The boots run big by about 1/2-3/4 sizing. Fortunately, I wear two pairs a socks in the fall-winter months. The leather is a bit thin. They are a bigger platform boot, which I wanted to wear with the fuller flared/bell jeans. They will look cute with leggings, tights, or skinny jeans, too. 4 stars due to fit.
