Dolman Sleeve Quilted Jacket

I forgot to include photos in my other review with the colors I bought. So I'm posting it here. I bought 2 colors. The moonberry is GORGEOUS! A saturated pastel purple with hints of pink popping thru. I die! Now the biggest let down was the terracotta color. It's BRICK RED ORANGE. it is NOT the gorgeous terracotta color in the stock photo. So annoyed. I did a side by side comparison with my 4ever21 jacket on the right that's VERY similar in color. The 4ever wins hands down, the better color/closest to a true terracotta color. So disappointing that free people filters the life out of their stock photos. I've also noticed that sizing is off. I bought a large but it fits like a medium in another color I've bought previously.

Free People usually runs large, as in the case of this awesome jacket. I normally wear a medium and opted for a extra small. The material is thick the jacket is still breathable and I’m still able to fit a thin sweatshirt underneath if I wanted to. I love the bomber styling in the back, the sleeves are loose and comfortable. The dusted military is more of a military/gray black. Personally I love this color, perfect to go with multiple outfits as well.

Anyone who loves Free People knows the prices are crazy. Free People targets very young women whose parents will pay for them to dress like hippies just as the parents or even grandparents once dressed. I'm no bodies either but I fit the demographic and have been dressing like this forever, The Rack is a good place to look also clearance at another department store or certain maxxnificant places. I recently bought this jacket for fify dollars. Ditto the rose two years ago.

I really wanted to love this and was willing to part with +$200 but the quality is not there with this piece. The only pluses are the feel of the fabric and color. Otherwise - The zipper doesn’t lay flat whether you have it zipped or not and there is a strange additional flap of fabric that extends behind the zipper - all wrong. The rooched back is just not sitting in the right spot and oddly a bit too tight even though the rest is oversized. I could have used an XXS in the rest of the jacket - though the zipper would still be a huge issue. I got a perfect dupe from Forever21 for $42 in acid black ( denim version is sold out in many sizes but some left ) - way better fit, make and quality for the money. Sorry FP, but miss
