I am usually a size L in jackets. The Boothbay runs very large. Size down. I ordered in S, exchanged for XS. Love love love. Also ordered the washed black.

great piece
I usually wear a size large and bought the chai color in both medium and large. I kept the medium. It is a heavyweight cotton piece that looks great with distressed jeans. I wore it with a pair of dark wash Pistola jeans, white tee and brown Birkenstocks clogs and received lots of compliments on my look. If you size down and adjust the drawstrings on the sides to allow a gathering of material on the sides and back you will love love the look.

Really love this. It’s def oversized but the waist cinches nicely. I’m usually a medium and the small is still big on me but I like that look and the arms fit great. I can see myself wearing this a lot and I already want another color.

GOOD STURDY COTTON FABRIC, BUT HAS NO SHAPE
I wanted to have this since first time was introduced, the item has good cotton fabric, tends to heavy, but has no shape. When drawstring are tight back is balooning, front has too much material. Shawl collar doesn't stay flat, and is bulky, in summary my disappointment. Perhaps on tall slim person (I'm size 12 , 5'6") would look better, or not.
