inconsistent sizing

I'm 5'6" and 132 lbs. I purchased the size S. I usually wear a size 4 (or 2 if the bottom is full). This dress was much too big. I went by past reviews and thought it would be ok. It is inches too big. I will try to return for an X-Small.

Love the dress, light & airy, beautiful color. However, I am normally a medium, but according to the size guide, I would be a large, and even the small did not fit the way it does in the photos. If they had an XS, I would try that, but I will make the Small work.
