James Long Sleeve Hooded Cape Dress

I ordered this dress in a small and medium. The small fit ok, but I thought that the medium would offer a bit more room in the hips. Since the dresses were shipped separately, I returned the small, knowing that the medium was on the way. However, the medium that arrived was a completely different dress—different style, color, material, etc. Oh, and it was dry clean only. The medium dress had been mislabeled. Had I known, I would have kept the small, but now it’s completely sold out.

This is a super cozy, lightweight hoodie sweater dress. I love it and it is super casual. I am giving it a four star because for the price I feel like it should have pockets. Pockets are essential these days in dresses or skirts.

On the hanger this doesn’t look like much but on it is surprising how good it looks. On me the fit is very flattering and I look long and lean, which I’m not. I want to curl up in this and drink hot cocoa as the triple fleece is so comfy, cozy and altogether delicious. I’m on the fence about a few things, there are no on seam pockets and for a garment that’s all about comfort I feel this is a big miss and I took off one star in my rating, At my height this is almost floor length and I would need to get it shortened. I’m not really sure what I need the hood for except the look is funky and cute. F&E also makes a shorter Mini Frank that might be better for my height. Clearly a hit with others, the Mini has sold out a few times on the Nordstrom’s web site.

The color, the fabric, and the cut on this dress make it over-the-top fabulous! I am a small 14, large 12 and a large fit perfectly. So, so nice!
